Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will visit Alys Beach on Saturday, December 6th. They will be visiting during Alys Beach's "Alys in Winter Wonderland" party. The 3rd annual event is going down at Fonville Press. Festivities begin at 3:30 p.m. and last until 5:30 p.m. Before the Clauses arrive, guests are invited to decorate holiday cookies while enjoying hot cocoa and cider. MORE

"DJ Harry" is coming back to Alys Beach on Saturday, October 25th. He will help residents and guests celebrate Noche de los Muertos, or "Night of the Dead," with an adult dance and costume party. The party will be held at Caliza, rain or shine, from 8 p.m. until Midnight. MORE

An Earth Day celebration that's free and open to the public is coming to Alys Beach on Saturday, April 19th. A seminar on green building will kick off the day's festivities. Fonville Press will house the event. The event will focus on green and sustainable building practices, something for which Alys Beach is well known. MORE

The Easter Bunny's coming back to Alys Beach on Friday, March 21st. He will be greeting guests and their kids in the courtyard of a new home at Alys Beach. This will coincide wit the Courtyard Home Tour and a performance by children from the New Gulf Coast Tour. The event is free and open to the public. MORE

Fonville Press will host a special “Fifth Friday” party To celebrate the extra day in 2008. The popular coffee shop, newsstand and wine bar on County Road 30A in Alys Beach will hold the event on February 29th from 4:30pm until 8:00pm. Doug Farr, award-winning architect and author, of Chicago’s Farr Associates will be present to discuss and sign copies of his new book, Sustainable Urbanism: Urban Design with Nature. MORE

The North Pole is looking for a missing Santa Claus. A prominent elf on Santa's senior staff, Jitters McWhiteknuckle says Claus was last seen enjoying cookies and hot cocoa with a number of children at Alys Beach, Florida. He's believed to still be at Alys Beach. There's a reward for any child who finds him. MORE

Visitors and locals alike are invited to tour the courtyard homes of Alys Beach on Friday, December 28th from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. There will also be live music, food and wine and original artwork by David Hansford. Santa Claus is set to visit Alys Beach on Saturday, December 8th during Alys Beach's annual "Alys in Winter Wonderland" party. The party will be held at Fonville Press and will begin at 3:00 p.m. and last until 6:00 p.m. Guests are invited to decorate holiday cookies, and enjoy hot cocoa and cider before Santa arrives. Alys Beach is set to host a “Howl-O-Ween” party on Saturday, October 27. The proceeds from the event will go to benefit Alaqua Animal Refuge in Freeport, Florida. The event makes sense at Alys Beach, were dogs are an important part of town life. Activities at the party will include a dog bone stacking contest, “Bobbing for Tennis Balls,” a “best trick” contest, doggie caricatures and a “Lick-or-Treat Kissing Booth.” MORE
