Alys Beach is seeking an entry-level Cost Accountant. The Cost Accountant performs professional level accounting work with responsibility for general ledger, job cost and accounts payable accounting.  Additional task will inculde performing monthly closing, maintenance of accounting files, and preparation/organization of various financial forms, reports, and financial analyses, etc.  This position will assist with additional ah-hoc projects and general accounting tasks as needed.  Must have the ability to work independently, and with a team, in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.

First day medical benefits and company profit sharing. $1,000 sign-on bonus for this position.

Job Responsibilities

• Performing monthly closing, journal entries and reconciliations, using SAGE 300CRE and SAP
• Monthly review of job cost activity ensuring consistent and proper coding
• Prepare and post biweekly payroll and monthly salary to job cost
• Assist in the preparation of company financial reporting requirements
• Review job cost activity/reports with managers on a regular basis
• Assist in any additional projects and general accounting task as needed

Job Requirements

• Candidate must have an Accounting or Business Degree
• Prefer some accounting experience, including job costing but not required
• Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft application
