Manager Human Resources

The Human Resources Manager position is a hands-on administrator that is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management and serves as a direct consultant on all HR related issues. This role facilitates the management of all Human Resource administration for Alys Beach to support an engaging and top tier, service focused culture. The successful HR Manager acts as an employee champion and assesses and anticipates HR related needs.
$1,000 signing bonus and benefits on day 1.
Job Responsibilities
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
- Supports employee time keeping administration
- Manages employee onboarding, changes and offboarding processes
- Responsible for recruiting for all available positions and works directly with managers on their staffing needs
- Responsible for coordinating the communication of employee benefits programs and assisting with open enrollment on site
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to management and employees (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Administers the leave of absence paperwork process (FMLA, Worker’s Compensation, ADA, etc.)
- Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with HR leadership to develop solutions, programs and policies.
- A representative of the company culture, exhibiting the Alys Beach values of accountability, commitment, integrity, passion respect and unity, as well as providing the highest level of customer service to be employees and guests.
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Human Resources, Organizational Development or related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience resolving complex Human Resource issues as an HR Generalist or HR Manager that includes working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines: employee relations, compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, diversity, recruitment, performance management, federal and state employment laws and time management.
- At least 3 years of Management experience overseeing a team of 1 more
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Understands complex problems and collaborates to explore alternatives
- Organizes and prioritizes work in order to effectively manage multiple projects
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or related discipline
- Current PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP Certification
- Familiarity with SuccessFactors modules
- Experience in the Hospitality industry
