Independence Day Celebrations

We hope you didn't miss the many 4th of July celebrations at Alys Beach this weekend, but just in case you did, we're here to rub it in.

To kick off the festivities on Saturday, Alys Beach employees and residents (including homeowners Jane and Don Doherty, seen below) participated in South Walton's 4th of July Parade; a tradition along Scenic Highway 30A for years. We distributed over 1,000 Alys Beach fans to toasty and appreciative parade attendees and our “Uncle & Aunt Sam” carts won 1st Place in the parade's Golf Cart/Bike Division!

That night on the Gulf Green, Chef Olivier prepared some good old fashioned 4th of July fixin's for homeowners and their guests, with a menu that included kabobs, salads, watermelon, homemade desserts, fresh-squeezed lemonade and more. The Steenos provided live tunes, followed by fireworks over the beautiful Gulf waters.

On Sunday evening, we welcomed the whole 30A community to join us for a traditional Shrimp Boil in our new amphitheater. Popular local band Cadillac Willy entertained the crowd.

Whew! That's a lot of celebrating, and there's no better cause for celebration...

Happy Birthday U.S.A. & God Bless America!
