The 2009 Honor & Design Awardwinners have been selected by the American Institute of Architects (AIA), and our ownMarieanne Khoury-Vogt & Erik Vogt (full-time residents and Town Architects here at Alys Beach) won an award for Caliza's stunning design.
“The Honor & Design Award Program is the time of year that we can truly celebrate the best in architecture,” said Steve Jernigan, Florida's AIA President. “Our members endeavor to create designs that benefit the client, the community, and the building environment, and these awards allow us to recognize all of their talent and hard work. This program also allows us to commend our friends of architecture who believe in and support the profession.”
In fact, for over 150 years, members of the American Institute of Architects have worked with each other and their communities to create more valuable, healthy, secure, and sustainable buildings and cityscapes. AIA architects truly walk the walk regarding sustainable design.
