Architecture
Alys Beach is a study in geometry. Stark white structures, canvased by cerulean sky. Lines and angles, negative and positive, vertices and valleys, concave, convex and complex shapes — purposeful placements of form, all part of the interdisciplinary design of this remarkable community. Upon a sea level horizon, where the flat lines of sky, sea, and sand are conjoined, the perfect skyline of Alys Beach is formed.
Parks & Trails
The northern portion of Alys Beach is devoted to a 20-acre nature preserve that provides a quiet and reflective getaway. An 1800-foot-long trail winds its way through the preserve, most of it on an elevated wooden boardwalk that gives a great view of the varied habitats below. A tree canopy gives way to the sky, with plenty of sunlight that nurtures a more open meadow landscape of wiregrass and colorful wildflowers. Nine town parks are also an integral part of the town design and offer central points of connectivity and recreation. The Amphitheater is the largest, and hosts a wide range of musical and theatrical performances throughout the year.
Art
Art is an integral part of the community at Alys Beach. Before the first home was ever built, the foundation for beauty and art at Alys Beach had already begun. Woven throughout our landscape, an intentional progression of sculpture and environmental art draws residents and visitors alike to consider the splendor of the natural world and the beauty of human creativity. The Alys Foundation is committed to bettering the community through art, enhancing the experiences of our families, and fostering community relationships through the integration of art into the environment.

The Alys Foundation
The Alys Foundation was established to provide funding for the purpose of sustaining the long-term community values of Alys Beach. Funds are used to finance community, environmental, cultural, and educational programs at Alys Beach as well as to help other nonprofit organizations in the greater Walton County community.
