NW Florida Lands Southwest Airlines!
Fabulous news!!!
In a very exciting development for our region, Southwest Airlines announced today that they will offer flights into our new Bay County International Airport -- which is under construction just 14 miles from Alys Beach!
Starting in May 2010, Southwest will operate eight flights a day to and from four cities with a daily capacity of 2,000 passengers. They have not yet announced specific schedules, or which cities will be serviced by direct flights, but of course, we'll let you know just as soon as they do.
