1.5 oz Blanco Tequila (preferably Ocho or Arette)
.75 oz Fresh Lime Juice
.50 oz Fresh Strawberry Puree (very ripe)
This twist to a classic ranch water has become a warm weather favorite in Alys since 2020. While NEAT takes creative pride changing the cocktail menu each month, the Dude Ranch has become so popular amongst our Alys residents and visitors that it is featured more than once a year. Simplicity and fresh ingredients are the keys to this easy to create cocktail. A quality blanco tequila provides a brightness to the drink. We like Ocho and Arette because of the overwhelming crisp agave bite. Very ripe strawberries balance out the tart acidity of the lime, and when the strawberries are in season, there is no need to add any sugar to the puree. The Topo Chico brings bubbles to the party and the minerality of the sparkling water offers a piquant balance to the sweetness of the strawberries.
