ZUMA Manager

Alys Beach is seeking an experienced Manager to be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our private ZUMA Health and Wellness Center. The manager will be responsible for managing the Zuma staff, maintaining equipment, front desk management, barista and food supplies, retail clothing, maintaining protocol for spa treatments and maintaining the grounds of the facility. The manager will be required to provide elite customer service to our homeowners and rental guests. The manager will be responsible for accounting and administrative tasks such as creating work schedules and keeping track of budgets.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for staffing and proper scheduling of the facility
  • Responsible for inspecting all areas for clean and sanitary operation
  • Responsible for the successful management of the staff (schedules, performance evaluations, etc.)
  • Responsible for keeping all equipment clean and in proper working order
  • Responsible for covering shifts if needed
  • Responsible for encouraging member retention, promotions, and help with marketing campaigns in Alys Beach by frequently interacting with homeowners and guests
  • Must be familiar with all aspects and areas of the Alys Beach community
  • Overall responsibility for the high-end wellness facility (structural, pool, spa treatment areas, racquet facility, cardio and fitness areas)
  • Responsible for good and respectful working relationships with all Alys Beach employees; be a positive contribution to the culture of Alys Beach and uphold Alys Beach core values
  • Must always possess a positive attitude and maintain a calm professional demeanor during periods of stress

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma required, college degree highly preferred in related field or business.
  • 5+ years of proven success in a leadership role in a high-end resort or community

Essential Job Functions

  • Must have excellent written and communications skills
  • Must have a working knowledge of MS Office environment
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Must be able to maintain working relationships with marketing, sales, town operations and guest services for smooth interactions.
  • Must have a working knowledge of accounting principles for financial reporting and budgeting
  • Must be able to successfully manage people.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for use with owners and guests to create exceptional wellness experiences

Preferred Skills

  • Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office products
  • Experience with Jonas software for spa services, court reservations, retail & café sales and POS
  • Prior facilities management experience
